Dean Hall THIS FRIDAY!
Well, I hope you all survived our little unpleasantness. We have, but just barely.
For the past couple of days we’ve been going back and forth trying to get our show rescheduled and, thanks to the good will of everyone involved, we’ve come up with a wonderful solution.
Dean is coming in for two shows this Friday, January 28th. That’s right, Ellington Fridays is postponed.
We’re going to put two shows on because there was so much demand last week that we feel we can accommodate the folks who couldn’t get tickets and also give Dean and his band a chance to recover a little for spending nearly 12 hours on the road in the ice and sleet last Saturday for nothing.
So here’s the deal. Doors will open for dinner Friday at 6pm and for the show at 7:30. The show will start at 8pm. Dean will perform two sets. Lynchburg’s own Max Abrams will join him on sax. Tickets from last week's show will be honored for this show.
Doors open for the second show at 10:30. The second show will be an extended set. Tickets for the second show are only $15 (or $10 for first-show guests who want to stay on). Because of the late date we will not be able to get tickets for the second show to the outlets, but they are available on line at our website and at the door. To find tickets on line go to an event page and click “Buy on line” at the bottom of the page.
Our goal has been to get this together as quickly as possible to meet the needs of our ticket holders and get Dean while we have the chance. The week after our show Dean will be performing at the Super Bowl with Gretchen Wilson. After that they begin preparing for a world tour. So you can see, if we don’t do this now, odds are we won’t do it and it’s too good of a show to pass up.
I hope you’ve had a chance to see a bit of Dean and Max on CMT’s MuzikMafia TV. It’s a wonderfully entertaining six-part reality show that airs Saturday night at 10 and several times during the week.
Dean has video and audio on his website. Check it out.
If you have any questions please email info@theellington.org.
One last thing, this is going to be a promotional nightmare and anything you can do to help us get the word out and promote the additional show would be great. So pass this on to your buddies, put it in your company and club newsletters, make your own posters and stick them on the side of your cars… Be creative.
See you at the Ellington!
