What are you doing Friday evening?

Going to Ellington Fridays if you know what's good for you. And by good for you we mean reaping the benefits of all those good chemicals coursing through your body when you're surrounded by good friends, good food and good music.

We're kicking off this year's series with one of Central Virginia's most unique and enjoyable bands, The Dog Boys. As any good Hound Head will tell you no one gets a jam on like the Dog Boys. From The Grateful Dead to The Band, From Creedence Clearwater to The Boys of the Loch (allright, I made that last one up but they do an Irish sounding a capella thing about Pabst Blue Ribbon beer), The Boys make music the way it should be made: with passion, wit and admirable fascility.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll eat, you'll drink, but mostly you'll be glad that from now through April we'll be presenting Central Virginia's best musicians on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. Doors open at 5pm. Music and the buffet start at 5:30 and at 8:30 we'll turn on those ugly flourescent lights and send you back into the cold cruel world.

See you at The Ellington!
