An important message from the president
Don't laugh, there are some people who will think this is important. A freind from Nashville was kind enough to write a quick review of the Johnny A show he saw in Cape Cod last week:
"This is not just an evening of incredibly guitar virtuosity, it is a night to cherish everything that electric guitar stands for. Johnny a may be the great bright hope of modern electric instrumental pop. His music writing and arranging, along with the kind of guitar playing that you rarely see and hear anywhere, makes it a once-in-a-showtime occasion. You will think there are two other guitarists hiding off stage augmenting the sound you hear. no,just a true magican musician."
Fred Mollin (record arranger-producer, film and tv composer)
Our final words on this show.... This is like a chance to see Chet Atkins or Les Paul before they made it big. Everyone is talking about Johnny A and there's every possibility we won't be able to afford him again. Not only do you not want to miss this, you don't want someone who's cultural life you care about to miss this either. Get on the phone or break out your email address book right now.
And make sure you tell them about Val Bolling's sensational menu: Mixed green salad with cashew-nut dill dressing
Roast pork topped with an apple and brandy confit
Grilled chicken breast topped with a spinach and feta cheese sauce
Eggplant Parmagiana
Cheesecake topped with an orange sauce
The sponsors for this show are Bowen Jewelry Co and Atlantic Precision Rubber. You can get tickets on line and they'll be at Roberts Piano, Stringfellows Music and Tom Jones Drugs. Coming up on July 24th, Jimmy Rushing and the Prematures and the Blue Newts with special guests and on August 21st the Nighthawks return for a blistering night of roadhouse rock and blues.
