    What do you see as the Ellington's greatest contribution to our community or what do you feel we have accomplished in the last 20 years?The Ellington brings great national level music to Lynchburg in an intimate setting that is friendly to everyone.
     
     
    MUSICAL PREFERENCES
     
    Favorite musical genre?West Coast style blues, swing, and 40’s big band jazz are my favorites but I try to listen to everything. There is no bad music.
     
    Do you have any musical talent?Woodshed guitarist and harp player
     
    What CD/tape/album are you listening to now?William Clarke – “Live in Germany”, and Pee Wee Crayton – “Early Hours”
     
    What was your first Album/8-track?Howlin’ Wolf – “Howlin’ Wolf’s New Album”
     
    What was your first concert?James Taylor and Carol King at the Spectrum in Phila.
     
    Your favorite past Ellington show?Tie between Magic Slim and Duke Robillard
     
    Your "fantasy" Ellington Show:Blues harmonica blow-out with Rod Piazza, James Harman, and Lynwood Slim, Jr Watson on guitar, Larry Taylor on bass and Richard Innes on drums.

    What is your line of work?Project engineer for Areva
     
    Any other past/present community involvement besides Ellington?Two terms on the James River Blues Society Board, Pet Therapy volunteer at Virginia Baptist - Lynchburg General Hospitals and TC Miller School, volunteer for Friday Cheers (see you at beer truck 1)
     
    Besides hanging out at the Ellington, what do you do for fun?Bicycling, playing with our two golden retrievers (Gus and Hooker who are both certified therapy dogs), attending NASCAR and local races (go Jr !!), and going to live music events.
     
    Have you lived anywhere besides the 'burg?I was born and raised near Allentown, PA. Spent 5 years in Philadelphia while I attended college and then moved to Lynchburg.
